Presenting the right offer is incredibly important. Here's a few suggestions.

Make it crystal clear why your customers should buy from you, and not your competitors. Find those points of differentiation in price, quality, service, or your experience.

And communicate those differences on your website and in all marketing materials.

Whenever possible, there should be no risk for your customers. Things like money back guarantees, and simple return and refund policies give customers peace of mind, and help close sales.

This is done with advertising. Simply put, your advertising must attract prospects who will be interested in what you offer. So you don't want to cast too wide a net.

You want to start small and stay very focused. For online stores, you need to concentrate on search engine optimization and paid search ads. My video blog numbers #17 and #22 give you more in depth information on this very point.

The right presentation is important. Get to the point. Forget the glitzy music and layer upon layer of graphics. People don't care about that (bleep).

Here's a few ideas. Provide customers with detailed descriptions of all your products and services. The more clarity you provide about your products, the more likely it is a customer will buy from you.

People are visual. So pictures of your products are an absolute must. Pictures or video give customers some sense of what they're buying, which is incredibly important for an online store. No visuals, or inadequate visuals leave buyers cold, and you with no sale.

Testimonials from happy customers will help a new customer feel more comfortable with their buying decision.

A huge mistake most online vendors make is trying to eliminate human interaction with customers. That's exactly the wrong thing to do. Make it easy for customers to talk to you to get questions answered, and to solve their problems.
