With the right product, and the right know-how, you can make a lot of money with an online store. 00:25, 00:30 Here are just a few of my secrets to selling online. 00:30.5, 00:36 Make them an offer they can't refuse. 00:36, 00:41 Presenting the right offer is incredibly important. Here's a few suggestions. 00:41.7, 00:55 Make it crystal clear why your customers should buy from you, and not your competitors. Find those points of differentiation in price, quality, service, or your experience. 00:55.7, 01:02 And communicate those differences on your website and in all marketing materials. 01:02, 01:15 Whenever possible, there should be no risk for your customers. Things like money back guarantees, and simple return and refund policies give customers peace of mind, and help close sales. 01:15, 01:26 Last, tell your customers why they need your products. Tell them how it will make their life better or their business much more successful. 01:28, 01:33 Find the right audience. 01:33.7, 01:42 First and foremost, you have to get your product or service in front of the right buyers. 01:42, 01:56 This is done with advertising. Simply put, your advertising must attract prospects who will be interested in what you offer. So you don't want to cast too wide a net. 01:56, 02:14 You want to start small and stay very focused. For online stores, you need to concentrate on search engine optimization and paid search ads. Forget the glitzy music and layer upon layer of graphics. The more clarity you provide about your products, the more likely it is a customer will buy from you. 03:03, 03:22 People are visual. So pictures of your products are an absolute must. Pictures or video give customers some sense of what they're buying, which is incredibly important for an online store. No visuals, or inadequate visuals leave buyers cold, and you with no sale. 03:22, 03:30 Testimonials from happy customers will help a new customer feel more comfortable with their buying decision. 03:30.5, 03:35 Be easy. 03:36, 03:41 Bob, not that kind of easy. 03:41.5, 04:00 If customers want to spend money with you, make it easy for them. Have lots of payment and shipping options, and always be quick to fulfill orders. That's exactly the wrong thing to do.
