Our new commercials. The Go Daddy GirlŪ - she's baaaack!. Our third radio show.

Well it's time for our third Radio Go Daddy show.
You can hear the show live on satellite radio and over the internet via live streaming audio. If you miss the live broadcast, you can go to the Radio Go Daddy archives and listen to any show anytime you choose via streaming audio.

Everything you need to know is on the Radio Go Daddy website.
For complete information on radio channels, times, call in information, show archives and how to listen to them, go to www.RadioGoDaddy.com.

It's all about having a little fun.
If you haven't listened in yet, don't think that our show is a technical yawn. It's anything but that. The purpose of the show is first and foremost to have some fun, and to share with you a few things that you might not know.

This week's show should be a blast!
Here's the line up for the "on air" show:

  • Our new commercials. They are going to be filmed this month. I'll tell you what you can expect. One of them is even going to include yours truly, as well as Candice Michelle, our Go Daddy Girl.
  • The Go Daddy Girl. We'll talk about Candice, what's she's doing now and why we're bringing her back. We'll also answer any questions you might have about her.
  • The most effective Super Bowl commercial ever. We'll tell you why our commercial was probably the most effective commercial ever, not only for the Super Bowl, but for any show. Be warned. We've got the facts to back up this claim. Also, in case you haven't seen it, you can see all of our existing commercials, the Super Bowl commercial, and the extended, uncensored, "web only" version by clicking on this link: http://videos.godaddy.com/bobsblog/avplayerpopup.aspx?mediaIds=sb05,sb05 ext& link=ads
  • Scams, Shams and Shady Deals. Each week we'll talk about a new scam. This week we'll let you know how some companies are tricking unattentive folks into transferring their domain name to them, and forcing them to renew at sky high rates.
  • How to choose a domain name. We'll talk about things you need to think about when you pick a domain name for your business, or personal use. We've also got a pretty cool example of someone who did it wrong, then did it right.

There's some very cool extras for those listening in on the internet via live streaming audio.

  • There are no commercials
  • When the "on air" broadcast (which comes through over satellite -- XM and Sirius, and a few AM stations) breaks for commercials, we will continue with special and uncensored "off air" bonus content, which is available only to those who listen in over the internet to the live audio stream made available at www.RadioGoDaddy.com. This week we'll talk about:
    • Strange domains. We've got close to 8 million domain names under registration and, I've got to tell you, we see it all. We'll talk about some domain names that are really weird and how they're being used.
    • Best and Worst of the Blog. We'll talk about some of the really strange comments that I've received, some of which I've posted to the Blog, some of which I haven't. To this day, one of the weirdest has to be (and I'll tip our hand somewhat by telling you this now) when someone commented: "just looking at your Super Bowl commercial makes it obvious that Bob wants to force women into prostitution." Of course, that's not true, but that's what one knucklehead had to say. In addition to strange comments, you'll also hear some very "on target" observations. I will, of course, give you my response to all of them.

It's easy to listen to the show over the internet.
If you haven't ever listened to a radio broadcast over the internet, don't be intimidated. It's easy. Just go to www.RadioGoDaddy.com a few minutes before the show; listening in is as easy as clicking the "Listen" icon.

Go Daddy made the national news a few times this week.
In case you didn't notice, Go Daddy was featured on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on CNN, when we opened our new call center in Gilbert, Arizona, USA. Mr. Dobbs and Go Daddy, as you know, are both firmly against offshoring. You can see the video of our segment on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" by visiting the "Broadcast News" section of our "Go Daddy In The News" page at: www.godaddy.com/gdshop/press.asp. You'll also find video of yours truly on The Factor with Bill O'Reilly and other national shows.

Go Daddy was also featured on NBC Nightly News a few nights ago in connection with a story it did on the www.SaveToby.com website. Go Daddy is the registrar that has the domain name SaveToby.com under management, and because there is nothing illegal about the website, I've refused to shut it down. Since the NBC nightly news piece, the article that I posted on this Blog entitled "$50,000 for a man not to eat a rabbit. The curious case of SaveToby.com" has received renewed interest. If this story interests you, I suggest you visit the Radio Go Daddy archives and listen to our very first radio show during which we interviewed the owner of www.SaveToby.com. You can hear what Toby's owner had to say, by going to www.RadioGoDaddy.com.

So join us, why don't you?
Remember our show is Wednesday at 7 PM PST or 10 PM EST. Everything you need to know about Radio Go Daddy is at www.RadioGoDaddy.com. Join us, why don't you?
